Why consider cancer and critical care insurance?

The odds that a person will personally experience cancer in their life is around 1 in 5.  Unfortunately, rates of breast cancer and colon cancer are increasing and more and more young people are being touched.

This is something that I have experienced in my own life.  My wife was diagnosed with breast cancer at 43.

When we got the diagnosis, it was like my wife and I had been hit by a freight train.  Cancer was something that happened to other people.  There had to be a mistake.

There wasn't.  

We were fortunate.  We had a cancer and critical care policy.  When we received the diagnosis, we submitted a claim and were paid very quickly.  This gave us some desperately needed breathing room so we could focus on health and healing.  We still had lots of difficulties to navigate, but paying for treatment wasn't one of them.
